Why do you think locking your house is compulsory and what do you think will happen if you leave your door open for the whole day or even for some hours?
People might break in, steal your valuable credentials, destroy your properties, and cause various source of damages, right?
Just imagine 😳, you recover from that and add great lock to your door making sure that nobody can unlock it except you or those that have the authorised access it to probably have the key or password with them, you're somehow safe and nobody will be able to break in.
Cybersecurity is just like locking your house. It add extra layer of security preventing bad guys from breaking and stealing your properties.
Cybersecurity is just like your login and password but for Internet. It is a process that protect systems, servers, network from digital attacks. It includes process and control designed to safeguard information and prevent unauthorised access, data breaches or disruption
It helps protect your stuff so that the bad people (attackers) can't get access to it.
Cybersecurity is a critical and specifically component of Information Security that focuses mainly on protecting digital assets. But you know information security is all about protection of information in any form. It can be in form of paper, digital or intellectual property.
Cybersecurity is very important as it helps in
- Protecting Sensitive Data : It helps in protecting Sensitive data like personal Information, financial records and other sensitive data.
2. Safeguarding Jobs and Bussiness: Think for a while if you can login to any bank app just by typing a random username and password without the bank sending OTP or face recognition. Do you think you'll save your money with that bank? No. But Cybersecurity makes it possible for Job and Bussiness owners to add extra layer of security to secure their customers so that they will not be out of the market.
